Cross The Line Music Video

TNA Wrestling presents a special “Cross The Line” music video featuring the superstars of Total Nonstop Action

2010 started off strong for the RV Industry. Sales were up over the previous year and everyone was feeling positive about the coming months. However, few openly declared the recession was over and the industry has been feeling out how the rest of the year is going to turn out. Would people open their wallets for costly items such as Class A Motorhomes and RVs? The good news is the latest reports say the trend is continuing. Sales are still increasing and the forecast is looking good.

The first three months of 2010 have seen almost a doubling of sales from manufacturers to dealers over the previous year. Dealers starting to restock inventory as a result of increased interest from consumers. Throughout the year, trade shows have consistently reported higher attendance and higher sales. March sales rose 87.5% over March of 2009.

Some of the most popular sales items are the lighter weight towables, pop-ups and campers. While the recession may be fading, people are still cautious about how much they are spending. Families are vacationing closer to home to save money and are utilizing campgrounds over hotels for additional savings. Buying lightweight towables saves money on fuel.

New technology has made these products more aerodynamic and increases consumer savings as they travel. With kitchenettes and bathrooms, they do almost everything a Class A RV does in less space.

Thinking Class A Motorhomes were out of the market would be a mistake. Their sales have doubled over last year and traditional RVs are still associated with the freedom of life on the road. While more costly, these are luxury vehicles with all the comforts of home and easily accommodate families and friends.

In a boost for the RV Industry, 2010 happens to be 100 years since the first RVs were created. The timing couldn’t be better to help spread the word about RVing. The more people are made aware of the American pastime of RVing and the long history it has had, the more people are likely to consider an RV as a means of travel. Both industry heavyweights GoRving and RVIA are getting behind the centennial celebration with increased advertising. RVIA has been working with states to make the RV Centennial Celebration Month official. So far they have had success with Indiana, Iowa and Louisiana.

The future is looking bright for the RV Industry. As summer rolls around, the true test will begin. Summer is RV season. It’s the time when rentals increase and sales should be at an all time high. The more exposure the industry gets, the better their odds of coming out ahead.

The summer tends to be some of the busiest months for RV rentals and sales and dealers are gearing up. With a positive outlook, upgraded campgrounds and more amenities for RV enthusiasts, this looks as if it will be a strong summer for RV dealers and manufacturers.

Film Review: Wolf Creek

When I originally saw this film on the big screen I wasn’t too impressed. Yeah, the acting was decent and the backdrop of it being in Australia and based (inspired) by actual events was intriguing, but there wasn’t much available that I hadn’t already seen before in far superior films.

Upon another viewing…I still feel the same way but there are some points of interest in this film that makes it an enjoyable experience and a film worth taking another glance at.

First of all it’s good to see that Australia can at least deliver on the home front in the horror genre. There has been very few films of note in the past few years, UNDEAD being one of the highlights. The thing that brings this film home is the gritty look and feel of the film. It harkens back to the days of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (the original) but improves on that formula by actually trying to craft complex characters that an audience can actually follow and route for.

Now, this is not saying that these are some CITIZEN KANE complex characters, but I am saying that they’re more interesting than most of what was displayed in any of the FRIDAY THE 13th series of films.

Secondly, this film was inspired by actual events making it topical and edgy, which very few genre films ever thrive to do. Gore films are not edgy, they are splatter-filled blood-drenched exercises in shock and discomfort, which while maybe barrowing a little from this mind set WOLF CREEK never truly openly embarrasses which this film is all the more better for. Less is always more and it’s never been truer then in this film.

And lastly, the film is not afraid to uproot all your expectations of the horror genre and turn them on end. SPOILER ALERT (If you have not seen the film then do not continue): The person whom you expect to live and appears to be the main character of the group is unexpectedly the first to be gutted. When I first viewed this scene I was turned on end. I wasn’t expecting this turn of events. This was contrary writing to what Hollywood films had trained me.

I was totally engrossed from that moment on because the most unexpected thing occurred. Like the Hitchcock classic PSYCHO the main character was killed early in the film and just like then it was a shocking development that kept me engrossed to the end.

Needless to say, even though WOLF CREEK is not entirely something new that we haven’t seen before it definitely has a few elements that elevate it above most over films of its kind.

I was wondering if the DVD helped at all, and if the tutorials were quick, and easy to follow. Will this DVD help to raise my score by four points, or will the book do justice? Any additional thoughts or ideas about preparing for the ACT will be appreciated.
Thank you. :)
Also, how are the DVD/CDs for the ACT Prep for the Barron or Kaplan books, are they really helpful, or will the books be enough?

There are many inexperienced corporate entertainers out there and booking the best ones for your corporate event can be a challenging experience. Booking a motivational speaker or comedian who has generic experiences and no real unique message to pass on can be de-motivational for your audience. Many bad motivational speakers use their achievements in the work place which they embellish to inspire others and that’s it. Audiences can see through this and are usually unimpressed. To ensure that you find good entertainment follow some simple advice and avoid generic inexperienced entertainers that will more than likely have a negative effect on the audience than a positive one. Planning early is necessary as the best corporate entertainers are often booked in advance. It is important to know the theme and type of entertainment you want as soon as possible as this will dictate the type of corporate entertainment you hire.   Once you have established the theme and focus of the event make a short list of the entertainers that will fulfill this. Briefing all the entertainers thoroughly is essential for them to tailor their material to suit the focus. Good corporate entertainers know how to match their material to the brief established.   The brief should also include information about the audience which the entertainer is going to address.    This could involve the company overview, the level of the participants in the company and any deficiencies which need particular attention. There is no point telling people things they already know. Meet the entertainers in person is crucial. You will be able to establish in the meeting the level of professionalism of the entertainer, their attitude and whether this will fit in with the corporate culture as well as their likeability. Good entertainers are able to establish rapport immediately and make the audience like them.   Likeability and attitude are important as it will determine how the audience will accept and connect with the entertainment.  Ask for references and level of experience. The corporate entertainer you choose should be a full time entertainer and should have performed at events like yours in the past.   They will be able to supply you with a Demo of their work.   Don’t be afraid to also request a dry run through before the event to make sure that the presentation meets the purpose for which it was intended. At the dry run through you should be able to suggest and make changes to the material.  Remember that people usually have a short attention span and can easily get distracted or bored.  An experienced entertainer knows how to keep the audience engaged and also wanting more. A good presentation usually lasts between half an hour and forty minutes. Any longer will certainly make the audience distracted. If the entertainer has a longer presentation then they should present it in multiple parts as to ensure that the audiences, interest are maintained. Stage craft is extremely important in corporate entertainment, as everyone wants to feel that presentation is directed at them. Experienced entertainers know how to work the stage. They know how to walk in and to command attention and are experts at keeping the audience on point and the crowd under control. So when booking the corporate entertainment for your next event, ensure that you hire the best entertainment possible by following some simple guidelines. Ask as many questions as possible and book the entertainer that will make your event a success.   For more information visit http://www.nusuevents.com.au
